As many of my clients know, I don't have any children. AJ and I are not at that point in our life right now, and that is perfectly fine with us. What we do have, however, is a goddaughter. AJ and I take this role pretty seriously. Although Penny lives with her parents (and our very good friends), she is like a daughter to us. Lately, I have been quite busy with weddings, engagements, and albums (oh my!); I haven't had much time with Penny. To remedy that, I made sure I finished all my work for the week on Thursday. When Friday morning came around, I picked up Penny and took her to the zoo. She is a bright little two year old, and was so excited to see all the animals (albeit, not so excited to see the bats). I even swallowed my fear of snakes -why'd it have to be snakes?- to get her closer to a python she was wanting to see. I blame her mother's love of Harry Potter for Penny's curiosity of snakes. It was a hot and humid day, but being with Penny was like breath of fresh air.

Parents, want to do a photo shoot with your children at the zoo? I love animals! :)
